New Skinny Mini Side Quest! Plus Updates on Tokens and Ribcage Terrain.

Hello adventurers!
We recently debuted the first of the Skinny Minis Side Quests and were thrilled to hear how they were received! We've released two new Side Quests for you to download: Watched by the Dragon and Dragonof the Dead.
Agents from the Dragon’s Eyes have been assigned to steal the valuable artifact in the party’s possession. They have been stalking their movements for some time.
Written for a party of 4 to 5 player characters of levels 7-9, Watched by the Dragon can take place anytime the party is traveling in any terrain at any time during the day or night. They will need to have some valuable item in their possession – such as a magical artifact, treasure map, key, ancestral weapon, etc.
Shallow pits of disturbed earth lie scattered near the entrance of the caves...The air clings to your skin like a wet blanket, and your nose occasionally catches a whisper of some foul odor. New tunnels constantly break off in new directions, making these caverns a veritable labyrinth. The darkness seems to conceal a palpable menace, always just out of sight.
Written for a party of 4 to 5 player characters of 7 - 8th level, Dragon of the Dead can take place in any cave system that is relatively close to some mass burial site, such as a graveyard or an ancient battlefield.
Ribcage Terrain
Originally we had planned to use custom bases (two long strips with multiple slots) for these. However, we think they are better served with individual bases as you can space them and place them as you need!
You can place them in standard 1" and 2" bases, which will result in better customizability in setup. After all, ribcages don't always stay intact. Especially once the bard finishes casting Animate Objects...
Digital Tokens
Our massive library of digital tokens has entered the final stage of testing! In the meantime, check out some of the tokens for the epic Siege Terrain and XL Creatures!

Hello again everyone! It's summer time here, which means we've been able to enjoy the return of warm, summer evenings 🌞. Hope you're enjoying the weather in your neck of the woods as well!
We missed our update last month - sorry to keep you all waiting folks. More on that, a new digital supplement, and all the latest news below!
Ongoing Production
Production continues to go smoothly. Nearly every set is in production with our manufacturer - with just a few sets remaining that are undergoing final tweaks. In terms of shipping and processing, it appears that things are easing up slightly both on the China side, and in the US ports.
Overall, we're well on our way toward getting your armies of Skinny Minis sent out by November. As always, we'll continue to keep you updated if we notice any potential production disruptions.
Digital Tokens Update - 94% complete!
The task of digitally converting all 1100+ Skinny Mini into digital tokens is 94% complete! These have been much asked about, and we're happy to report they're nearly done. We expect to fulfill the order of everyone who is due to receive these within the next week or two.
We'd hoped to make the "100% complete" announcement in this update (and held off on sending the update for that reason) - but the digital tokenization process has taken a lot more hours than anticipated. For example, we wanted to provide isometric views of all the Tavern Terrain, as well as top-down views. It's taken extra time, but we hope you'll find it useful!
So stay tuned! These will be released through the BackerKit account. You'll be getting individual emails once the tokens are available, plus an announcement email to remind you to check your BackerKit account.
Skinny Minis Side Quest - Digital Supplement
A small, unexpected gift comes your way!
We've had some of our writers put together short digital adventures that make use of our Skinny Minis. These side quests are small, contained series of events that form an interesting side-plot for any 5E GM wanting to use some of our original Skinny Minis in new and interesting scenes.
The first set of adventures make use of all the different "freebie" Skinny Minis we gave out in our first Kickstarter's stretch goals. We'll be releasing more of these in the near future, so stay tuned.
The side quest Faerie Dust, Indeed can take place anywhere the PCs can wander away from a wilderness road to get deeper in a wooded area. Ancient forests, untamed wilderness, or evergreen swamps are all perfect places to insert this side quest.

The Late April Update - Monthly Update

Hi everyone - it's already been another month, and we're back with another progress update! Well, technically it's been just over a month :) Our apologies for keeping you waiting. We'll be sending out another update at the end of May to keep you up to date!
Production Progress
Production is on-going, and we continue to expect to deliver all pledges by our estimated delivery date!
The waves of lockdowns in China have resulted in some slowdowns, including a temporary shut down of one of our manufacturing partners. Fortunately, this was short-lived and has not caused us to miss any essential target dates. It does have the effect of reducing the margins of safety we baked into our production timeline when we planned the project, but that's why we put them there in the first place.
That said, as of the moment, all is good and we're still on track to deliver everything by the estimated delivery date. We're keeping our eyes on the situation, in case the disruptions get worse. As always, we'll let you know if we experience any issues that we think could present a problem.
You're hearing it here first - we've got a couple great new projects coming up this year that we're super excited about!
First, is our "Big Secret Project", about which I can say nothing.... except that it will be coming to Kickstarter this year, it looks great, and it's going to level up your RPG gaming in a pretty amazing new way! (More to come, soon...)
Second, is our first ever campaign book - Secrets of the Greenwold!
We're collecting the first year of our Dungeon in a Box adventures, and releasing them as a 300+ page hardbound campaign book. This massive adventure takes a party from level 1 - 10 as they go from simple caravan guards to the realm's only chance of avoiding a catastrophic dragon war!
This adventure is no longer available in print, so we're thrilled to release this expanded and fully-revised edition with new rules, art and lore!

Hello everyone - we're here with the March update, plus some news about the Skinny Mini Subscription club. Read on, friends!
Production Progress
As the flash and excitement of the campaign and pledge manager periods fade into the rear view mirror, we find ourselves entering the "slow and steady" production phase.
Sure enough, the gears have been turning slow and steady behind the scenes. The big effort this month was reviewing and approving production samples to ensure you'll be getting the best quality product possible. Now that we've completed that (a significant milestone!), we are ready to begin the full-scale production run. This involves quite a number of moving parts - so we'll be taking it one step at a time to ensure we get everything right the first time.
Things have been running smoothly so far, but not without their hiccups. The ports continue to be heavily congested - delaying shipment of some deliveries for weeks longer than usual. This has not been a major issue yet, but we are keeping our eyes on it in case it has an impact on delivery later this year. Signs are pointing toward improvement, but we'll keep you posted.
A resurgence of pandemic-related lockdowns in China has been in the news lately as well. Entire cities (some of them major trade hubs) have been forced to stop in their tracks. As you can expect, this has led to some disruptions as well. Like the port congestion, we're happy to report that these disruptions have been relatively minor and manageable for us so far. We're keeping tabs on the situation through our liaisons in China, and will be sure to let you know if there's anything to worry about.
All in all, it's been a good month for the campaign. April should bring more exciting news - so stay tuned!
Skinny Mini Subscription Club - Update
A few of you have been asking what's up with the Skinny Mini Subscription Club (SMSC) shipments. We have good news for you! But first, our entire communications team owes you a mea culpa. We had some crossed-wires and poor communication on our end this month. Our bad - we needed to do a much better job keeping you in the loop.
Now for the good news - all the Skinny Mini Subscription Club boxes have shipped out, as of today!
If you're confused about the status, here's the breakdown:
The "March" SMSC boxes were voted on back in November. They arrived at our warehouse in March and were prepped for shipping.
Our warehouse manager printed labels for the boxes around the second week of March - however this was done prematurely. We hadn't received the monster stat cards that needed to go in each box. (This is why you got a tracking email from us, with no tracking updates)
The monster stat cards arrived a few days later, but they had a serious misprint. We decided to quickly reorder all the cards.
The second printing of stat cards arrived with even worse printing errors. It became clear the issue was with the printer, not with our files. We re-ordered a third time.
The stat cards arrived, and the boxes were able to be packed, labeled and shipped.
This was a classic - "death by a thousand cuts" situation. Each error appeared to be small and easily rectified - but together they added up to a significant delay. However, the biggest error of all was not keeping all our subscribers updated about the situation.
Our apologies again for the confusion - we'll be reviewing the whole production process to rectify these errors for the future.

February Update - New Production Samples and Mimic Art!

Hello everyone - we're here with the February update!
We've been making great progress this month! Based on how things are shaping up, we're still confident that we will easily be able to make the estimated November ship date. We have some new art and production samples for you - but first a little house keeping.
Have you finalized your order?
Some backers still have orders that haven't been finalized yet!
While the vast majority of orders were locked on January 31, we were not able to lock them all. This was due to one of two reasons:
1. Some backers had not finished their surveys, leaving excess balances
2. Some backers had not answered all the survey questions
If your order hasn't been locked yet, that means we can't process your shipment! The longer it remains unlocked, the more likely your order may be delayed or have to deal with limited stocks. So check your account, then email us at [email protected] to let us know you are ready to lock your order.
If your order is already locked, you have nothing to worry about! You can relax and look at the cool new art below, while we work behind the scenes to get you your awesome minis.
